What started as a video store over 20 years ago has slowly become a bookstore. When movie rentals started dying out, I had to figure out what to do next. Having been a book lover since I was old enough to read, it was a logical step and soon became an obsession. I now spend a lot of my free time hunting for books. Next to meeting readers in my store, my favorite thing to do is try to find the perfect books to line my shelves. I now stock over 10,000 books of all genres; fiction and nonfiction. I believe a bookstore should be fun and interesting with something for everyone. I've been honored to help families with children become book lovers, then watch them grow up and take their children to the store. It's been a very fulfilling career and I plan on doing it as long as I am able.

We partner with Bookshop.com, a website that donates a commission to a local book store of your choosing whenever you buy a book. When you click the button below, you will be taken to the main home page. Next, click "Choose a Bookstore" in the top right and in the search bar type "Beach Bookshop" and select the store located in North Myrtle Beach, SC. After that, a small percentage of the money you spend on any books you buy from Bookshop.org will go to our store! This is a great way to support us without visiting in person.
Bring your fiction paperback books that are in very good condition to the store, and we will give you 20% of the original retail price towards credit. Hardback credit will be determined on a case-by-case basis. If you don't want credit, I can purchase your fiction paperbacks as long as they are current and in very good shape. Call or bring them by and I will be happy to look at them.
We purchase nonfiction and collectible books for very fair prices on a case-by-case basis.
Book credit can be used towards 1/2 of your bill. For instance, if your bill is $20, then you can use $10 in credit and the other $10 must be a form of payment. You can use your credit for used fiction only. Credits cannot be used for new books, collections, collectibles, and nonfiction.
